Where would you like trees planted???

Untitled As many of you know, several of our community minded neighbours have over the years built up strong contacts with key members of the Council Staff in different areas.  One such area is the Tree Service.  Over the years we have worked closely with them to plant many new trees in our neighbourhood and when necessary get trees that have been vandalised replaced.

We have just receive an email from one of the staff of the Tree Service and he was asking for recommendations from local folks as to where new trees should be planted in the coming year.  This is your time to speak up and list your suggested locations in the Comments section below.  Time is of the essence as the Service must get it's list together next week.  So if you have an area that could benefit from some trees, please let us know now.

I am concerned about a very sick horse chestnut tree in the garden of 264 Caledonian Road. It backs onto the new No 4a Richmond Avenue. I think that it would be a good idea to replace it with a healthy tree. Perhaps not such a big species?

  8. Trees should be planted everywhere – we need to make sure that the trees being planted isnt going to be effected by future building or construction so picking a site out of the way is a good idea.
