With all the problems facing the world you might wonder why I bother with this posting!
Yes another local tree seems to have been vandalized but frankly, who really cares, the Council will replace it, won't they?
Well I care, and I would really like to know how this happened (and continues to happen). I would like to know who did this and why can't we try to find out so that we might get them to pay.
We have cameras all over our streets, yet every time I offer to spend of my personal time trawling thru CCTV footage I'm told that I'm not authorized to do so… Of course when it comes to traffic fines, then we surely get snapped!!!!
Well, can't we get someome who can focus on this problem – after all our taxes are being spent on replanting so why can't some of our money go into finding the culprits for this type of crime and making them pay. What do you have to say?

I share your frustration with this as well. No song ago I saw that a young tree in Twyford Street had been snapped in half.
You should ask the two chaps who sit in that little Smart Car with the camera on the roof (outside our building)- I bet they have it on film. I assume they are catching speeding cars or cars who turn right out of Goods Way. I saw one of them asleep the other day. Seriously though…..that particular day was extremely stormy and windy, are we sure it wasn’t just the weather.
Yes, I also share your frustration. I can’t comprehend what sort of values people have when they decide to randomly destroy public property like this – what sort of excitment does snapping a tree in half really have? Do people not know that they are paying for this in their council tax?
