Its almost a year since Tobias Newland began walking up the Thames from Woolwich on 23rd September 2007. Twenty-six amazing walks have seen Tobias and other King’s Cross based walkers reach Lechlade in Gloucestershire on the southern edge of the Cotswolds which is the limit of navigation on the Thames for most boats. Tobias writes:
Thanks to the twenty or so people who have come on the walks so far I hope some of you can join us on the final three walks.
But now its time to go further upstream to find the source. On Saturday 20th September (next Saturday) we will be walking about ten miles upstream along the infant Thames to Cricklade in northern Wiltshire. Please contact me by email so that we can arrange meetings and and (possibly) ticket discounts.
You can see more than 200 photos and films from the walk so far on Tobias’ blog.
