Kings Cross big tent….

TentAn enormous temporary building has appeared over the last week at the North end of the railway lands behind Kings Cross.  Yesterday a huge pavilion roof was hoisted up by six cranes, the walls will probably go in today.  Enquiries with Argent revealed it isn’t one of their’s.  It is probably for the Arrivals festival in November – a big arts and culture bash to welcome the Eurostar – for which an embryonic website has just gone live.

UPDATE 7 September

The tent is up and it is huge, absolutely colossal temporary structure – click on photo to enlarge

I’m an artist who lived in Kings cross in the 1980s on the Hillview Estate. I have a series of etchings that I did then of St Pancras and its surroundings. I have recently decided to re-issue them as a set of giclee prints and with the forthcoming opening of St Pancras as an international station I was hoping to market them in the area. I would be grateful to anyone who has any suggestions as I live in Hastings now and am a little out of the Kings Cross loop. The images can be seen on my website http://www.ryepress.com/stpancras.html
