On the morning of 26 April 2007 I was sat at my desk in our flat on Wharfdale Road when who walked right into my living room but Reynard! I gently ushered it onto the step and offered a range of foods from the healthy options menu. It was quite happy with the mixed seeds and nuts usually reserved for local sparrows and the female mallard that visits from time to time!

Foxes on the Gifford St bank seem to be more picky: peanuts are welcome but birdseed gets the paws down. The bank’s a big place but somehow they do seem to know when we’re putting the food out behind 100, up the far west end, and one or other will put in an appearance to get the goodies before the pigeons and squirrels.
