It’s the excellent Cally Festival 2013 this Sunday and the Met Office forecast is for a dry day, somewhat less humid than recently. Things kick off at 1200 and run until 1800 up on the Cally Road south of the new Cally nee Ferodo Bridge. We have loads of interviews with previous participants on this site – search for Cally Festival – and i was delighted to find an interview I had forgotten about with the late Mr Yasar, as many of us will remember him extolling the virtues of his excellent home made Turkish foods. I also enjoyed this interview with a couple of local vicars and on a more serious note with Cllr Convery about how the Festival brings together both sides of the Cally Road.
Kings Cross Environment 
If you want to know a little more about the history of the Cally you can sign up for a free walk arranged by Clerkenwell and Islington Guides which starts from Kings Cross at 2pm. The walk will take you to the festival site so you can join in the fun afterwards.
