Some light-ish relief on a Monday night, about 7pm. Yet another band utilising the King’s Cross station forecourt to draw in the passing crowd. Nice to see a bit of human activity that isn’t commuters grimly power-walking and it’s good to have something to drown out the traffic noise. Just some rock standards and no vocals, but not too bad. Bass player’s pick guard decorated with the face of Justin Bieber. Nice touch.
The guitarist goes by the name of Ivan Tantu. I don’t know if the ensemble have a name. Here’s a clip.

Lovely to see this documented, and enjoyed Texas Cous Cous, Puncture Kit and Ze Big Bandhoulle in the past. Music makes real living street in King’s Cross, and I hope it lives on with the redevelopment of ‘King’s Cross Square’ (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8628428.stm)
