The Mayors Planning and Housing Committee members visited Kings Cross today as part of their enquiry into public realm issues. With local groups we had a good chat about the bridge over the tracks, the permeability of the Kings Cross redevelopment and the difficulties of working across a borough boundary. We'll write it up more later but here are two audio interviews. Good to see members backing residents on the need for a bridge and deciding to take a much closer interest in future planning applications in Kings Cross.

Great support from Gavron, interesting that GLA-Boff is fairly cagey (“have seen worse”) and feels its down to Islington to pressure Camden to pressure Network Rail the ‘Private Landlord’ – at least he notes TfL’s Station Forecourt / Square is ‘Public Realm’
