Fire follows several explosions at King’s Place

King's Place fire 1Several explosions occured on the roof of King's Place about half an hour ago and were followed by fire which raged whilst further explosions blew smoke into the sky above Battlebridge Basin. The fire brigade attended and quickly doused the fire.

The scare was exacerbated by this being the second such incident at King's Place. The first occurred during construction when a gas tank exploded resulting in residents and businesses being evacuated.
