Every month or so, we get a classy old visitor to King’s Cross Station, here’s ol 60009 headin up North with a trainload of vintage rail buffs.
Now aint’ she just a sight for sore eyes? Why isn’t that the A4 class pacific, No. 60009, ‘Union of South Africa’? Can anyone confirm this sighting?

Respect. That is more impressive than a squirrel, though less troublesome for the bird feeders. I heard it coming at the weekend and caught a glimpse of it powering up the incline out of the gasworks tunnel, wonderful sight on a cold day. We should post the forward timetable for steam at kings cross
