Our local representatives online

Town_hall Our local MP Emily Thornberry sent me an email with a link to her new website.  It has a section on Caledonian and Barnsbury wards.  You can get in touch with her here.  Hopefully the website will be updated regularly and not just remain static.

Other useful local contacts include local Councillors (click here) it is best to contact them first if you have a problem with something very local – if the MP can help they will refer you on.  If you aren’t sure what ward you are in but know your post code use the excellent service at www.writetothem.com that will help you get a message for free to each of your elected representatives.

In the interests of balance, here is the website of Bridget Fox, who is the LibDem potential parliamentary candidate who will take on Emily Thornberry at the next election.  Bridget Fox also has a good blog here.  And here is the Islington Conservatives website.

Although I often have trouble working out what the London Assembly does, our member Jeanette Arnold has a strong public service record and is on the Metropolitan Police Authority.  You can find out about what she does and contact her here.

This website is happy to work with any political group (except extremists) to get things done in the community.
