Fun activities for kids this Saturday

Mapper This just in from Alistar Murray, one of our local neighbours.

This Saturday September 8th there will be lots of fun activities going on for kids of all ages between 2.00-4.00pm in Edward Square. You can make a kite, join in with a drumming workshop, make something with clay or learn how to do acrobalancing. Each activity is just 50p!
Edward Square entrance is between Caledonian Rd. and Copenhagen Street, and if you have not visited before it’s a lovely community park which recently won a green flag award for excellence. The Square was saved as a green space by local activists, and with a poem specially written by Islington resident and Poet Laureate Andrew Motion sandblasted into the wall it’s well worth a visit anytime.

This fun activity day was organised by volunteers from the Friends of Edward Square (the FREDS), Copenhagen School and LB Islington Greenspace
