Over Easter I’ve been experimenting with some new stuff.  Some of you will see a map on the middle left hand side of this page.  The map shows places to eat and drink in Kings Cross as well as the odd food shop.  This is in response to the interest in food and drink posts on this site.  I try to cover local businesses that residents recommend rather than the chains etc – they can look after themselves.  Some people in big companies behind firewalls won’t be able to see the map i am afraid which uses java and is blocked by many security conscious companies. 

I am still fiddling with the map technology from Platial – which is a bit temperamental.  Let me know what you think – all suggestions welcome, including for additions (but not Starbucks pls unless you are the manager and want to make a huge charity donation to a local cause)

Also I am indebted to who Hugh Blackbourn alerted me to the wonderful pool of over 300 Kings Cross photos on Flikr (which are much more cheerful than my shots of graffiti and trash).  Will try and get a feed of the photos into this blog as they are published if i can get the technology to work
