Regents Canal – islands in the stream……..

Floating_islands No not a Dolly Parton special for Kings Cross but a lovely proposal for a hundred and fifty metres of floating nature islands in Regents Canal to encourage flora, fish and fowl and break up a little the industrial lines.  Click the picture to enlarge and get a better idea.  There is a consultation document here Download floating_island_consult1.doc to put your views in.  Thanks to Lisa Tang for alerting.

1 Response to Regents Canal – islands in the stream……..

  1. This is much needed and a great idea! The present canal bank still has an industrial look to it, so it’s nice to think it will be transformed in much the same was as the tree planting is helping to transform the roads of Kings Cross.
