The Gazette reports a scary lorry crash on the Cally Road at the junction with Wharfdale Road. There is a graphic photo of the lorry embedded in the front of the Sunrise Cafe. I used to live a few doors away from this spot on the Cally. Lorries were forever speeding down the hill from the canal bridge at well over 40 mph (it is a 30 limit). Given the huge volume of traffic at this junction in the Kings Cross gyratory the Council and TfL really ought to do something – though their protracted dithering over the crossing at the spot of the crash isn’t promising.
